Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She's an American-Mexican actress. Also, she sings. She was raised by her mom in the USA. She was subjected to racial taunts and made to feel unwanted. It was during her ninth grade when she began to gain confidence after being highly praised during an audition. The experience not only increased her confidence, but it was also a change in the direction she pursued in her professional career. Her professional career began when she was 23 years old, appearing in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and the film You've Got Mail. The role in The Lady of The Lake became her greatest break, earning her the Tony Award in addition to the acclaim of critics for her role. She gained more recognition when she appeared in Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. Also, she is a well-known singer and has produced an extended show.
